Nearpod: One of the Useful Online Platform During the Online Learning

Welcome back to my new post everyone!!!! In this post I would like to discuss about another useful application for the online learning which is NEARPOD!!!

Nearpod is one of the online platform which is made by Google. This application can be opened by mobile phones and laptop. Somehow, you need to use laptop if you want to have a better view of Nearpod. Nearpod itself is an application which teacher can put materials that can be accessed by the students. The teachers can put power point slides, PDF files, giving an online exercise (using quiz, polling, and other activities which are provided there), pictures, and videos which are related to your materials. Oh ya, you can also find videos related to your material from the application, so you don't really need to make a video which explained about your materials. Then you can also add website links there. This application is very useful for teachers and students because it's very simple and understandable. So now, I am going to discuss the way how teachers can put the materials on the Nearpod. Here are the steps:

  1. Open the link or the application of Nearpod on your PC.

  2. Click sign-in or login if you have the account. Then you sign-in or login as a teacher and you can use your gmail account to have the account.
The Sign-in or Login is on the top right

  3. There will be some tutorials on how to use Nearpod.
  4. Then you can click "create" to make a new material.

  5. Choose lesson.

  6. Then you can add the materials there. You can add content and activities. For the content, you can add power point slides, PDF file, Video, Audio, or any other files you have. You can see the picture below to know what kinds of file you can upload. For the activities, you can make quiz, polling, memory test and many others. You can see what activities you can make on the picture below.

  7. After you finished you can save and exit.

  8. Then you'll back on the home page and you will see your courseware.

  9. Click on the course and there are 3 dot there and you can choose share to teachers. Then, you can share the links to the other teacher. You can share the link for the non-editing teacher and the editing teacher. Then you can copy it and share to the other teacher.

  10. If you also want to share it to your students, you can click the course again and click the students pace. there will be a code and link and you can share it to your students. As it is or the sutdents the course only available for 29 days.

And after you did it, everything is finished. Here, is the example of my courseware which I have made from the Nearpod and this is the Non-Editing Teacher preview. The look is just the same as the students preview but, the students can submit the quiz and polling. But at least, you can see the product of Nearpod is look like.
And I hope you understand how to use Nearpod and know how to use it. That's all from me now. See you on the next post.
