How to Teach with Technology
On the second meeting of CALT we learned about how to teach with technology. All the students are divided into several groups and each group should present their materials. Each group consists around three to four students. And each group has their own materials. The presentation itself is in the form of video. And this meeting is very useful for us as a teacher because it can help us to be more attractive in teaching in the classroom.
And the first video that was played was group one's video. Group one consists of three people, and they are Sharon, Talia, and Olivia. They talk about the introduction of the materials of meeting two. They told us about what was going to be discussed on meeting two. They also discuss about the abstract of the article. Then, the presentation continued by group two. This group consists of four people such as Louisa, Faisal, Mutiara, and Me, Mayvela. The second group discussed about using websites in the classroom. The group start the presentation with telling the other about what is website. Then, the group continued the presentation with the introduction of using websites and how to use websites in the classroom. Not only that, the group also discussed about how to find the useful websites, how to evaluate the websites, and how to plan a lesson using websites. The group took around twenty-four minutes to cover all of the materials they need to explain. And here I attach the presentation video link of group two, so you can watch the group explanation video:

Next we have another presentation by group three. This group consists of four people, such as Vania, Saviera, Safira, and Felicia. And this group discussed about Internet-Project Based Learning. The presentation started with the definition of Internet-Project Based Learning and the reason why using it. The group also discuss on the steps on how to prepare Internet-Project Based Learning, the kinds of Internet-Project based that we can use to teach and learn and the types of blog like blog, wiki and podcast. They also explained on the steps on making the blog, steps on setting up wiki, and podcast. They explained everything very clear and understandable. Then, we had the fourth group which also consist of four people such as Karolus, Nicolas, Abior, and Allista. This group presented about the Technology Based Software and took around 13 minutes to discuss their materials. First of all, they explained about what is Technology Based Software and the kinds of the Technology Based Software. They didn't only explain the kinds but also with the advantages of each kind of Technology Based Software. And last but not least, group five, and the members are Anne, Samantha, Fani, and Shienta. They took around 19 minutes to discuss their materials. The group discussed about Producing Electronic Materials. They started the discussion with the definition of Electronic Materials, the reason why teacher use electronic materials, and the examples. The materials explained by the five groups are very important for all of us. We can learn how to use all the technologies we have to teach the students. The materials also will be interactive and the students can also have fun during the lesson. So, by watching and listening to the discussion or the presentation from the five groups above can help you to make an interactive class with the technology we have now.
